The main focus of this one-year residency will be the development of musical writing techniques inspired by from Escher’s systematic deformations and the geometric transformations of Islamic art at the Alhambra Palace.

This residence focuses on Bernini’s Scala Regia, translating its accelerated perspective into sound.
It explores how musical processes can create the illusion of physical space without spatialized instruments.
